Planning Board
The Petersburgh Planning Board is responsible for the orderly, efficient and economical development of the Town in keeping with its rural character. This means, among other things, that land to be subdivided shall be of such character that it can be used safely for development as proposed without danger to health, or peril from fire, flood, or other menace and with due consideration for community harmony.

1. SUBDIVISION
Dividing land into one or more parcels requires review by the Planning Board in accordance with the rules and regulation set forward in the Town’s Sub-division Regulations.
• The Petersburgh Planning Board is the controlling authority for sub-division proceedings and approvals.
• The Code Enforcement Officer is the controlling authority for over seeing compliance of sub-division improvements.

2. SITE PLAN REVIEW
This law applies to all parcels of land within the town limits. All deeded properties and owners there of are covered by his law. When a property owner wants to make a change to the present conditions of the land, buildings, purpose of use or other conditions visible or not visible, that owner must consult with the appropriate town official to assure compliance with this law.
• The Petersburgh Planning Board is the controlling authority for Site Plan Review proceedings and approvals.
• The Code Enforcement Officer is the controlling authority for over seeing compliance of the Site Plan improvements.
