Code Enforcement Officer/ Building Inspector
The Department of Building and Fire Codes exists to ensure the safety of our current and future residents. The Code Enforcement Officer examines new construction or remodeling projects to determine if they are in compliance with the state & local codes and ordinances. He is also in charge of issuing the following:
- Building Permits (and renewals) [Download] PDF
- Demolition Permits
- Certificates of Occupancy
- Certificates of Compliance
*Please note that any new structure 14’x14’ or larger requires a building permit.
2011 NOTICE TO RESIDENTS
*Effective February 22nd, 2010; NYS Law requires all human occupied dwellings to have a functional carbon monoxide detector.
