The Town of Petersburgh will be working with the Rensselaer Plateau Alliance (RPA) and other municipalities of the Rensselaer Plateau region, the public and other stakeholders to develop a Rensselaer Plateau Regional Conservation Plan. The Rensselaer Plateau is a unique natural, cultural, and economic resource in our backyards. This plan will focus on the natural resources we value, the local economy, forestlands, clean drinking water, and rural character while maintaining respect for the home rule of towns and the rights of landowners. The RPA has received a grant to help fund the facilitation of this project. For more information on this project visit the RPA conservation plan page: http://rensselaerplateau.org/RensselaerPlateau/ConservationPlan.aspx
Rensselaer County has established a Multi-Jurisdictional Hazard Mitigation Planning Project.
